Tattoo Tuesday: TWIN PEAKS Ink

It’s tattoo Tuesday, so I’m here to fuel your geek-ink addiction! Do you ever have those days where you just start reflecting on one of your favorite fandoms and then fall down an Internet-all-the-related-things search? Well, that happened to me this past weekend with Twin Peaks. So, here are ten of my favorite pieces inspired by Twin Peaks, because they deserve more than just a spot on my Pinterest board.

Abstract

I love both of these for their subtlety. They are sophisticated, unique, and anyone can appreciate them–Twin Peaks fan or not.

Artsy

Like with the abstract tattoos, these do not scream Twin Peaks, but they reward fans who are going to pick up on the significance of such elements as the log and the blue rose–just look at that skilled linework and gorgeous symmetry.

Neo-Traditional

I realize that these are similar tattoos, but they are NOT the same, and I honestly can’t choose a favorite. I love the coloring, lettering, and flowers on the left, but I also love the delicate locket and black-only approach on the right. 

Traditional

In a different vein, these two tattoos are boldly Twin Peaks-specific, and I love them for it. Both would make stunning leg pieces. The pie piece on the left is clearly more in the traditional vein in terms of art and lettering, but I grouped the right piece here as well because I think that they complement each other beautifully, Personally, I would adjust the lettering and floral work on the right piece to tie them together better in the traditional style.

Sleeves

Both of these sleeves are absolutely gorgeous, with the realist linework, pattern-play, color depth, and various elements that showcase Twin Peaks in all of its glorious weirdness. I feel like I need multiple skinsuits so I can get an endless number of tattoos. Okay. That’s my weird thought for the day. But this is Twin Peaks, right? So, it fits.
