This will be my second Funko Pop in Shounen Jump Mystery Mini series. I love all the characters you can get from this series, and I do hope they will do a second series of Shounen Jump characters. I think this is a follow-up to their Best of Anime Mystery Minis so maybe they will go in another direction with the third series. In the first mystery unboxing I got Sasuke. I don’t mind getting any character, but I do have a preference for Death Note.
This series of Mystery Mini blind box is focused primarily on characters that have appeared in Shonen Jump, which is a shonen manga anthology that is published in North America by Viz Media, however it published it’s last issue in 2012, reason being that Viz Media wanted to focus primarily on weekly digital manga anthology. Some of its most famous mangas (all of which have had success with their own anime series!) include;

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed that I didn’t get Light or L, but I might buy one more. Third time lucky! Of course, there’s nothing wrong with my Kon figurine, he’s a really cute figurine and I love his tan colour. He’s really light and small in comparison to my other Mystery Minis.
Kon is an Underpod (Japanese for “Lower Part-Strengthened Form”) Mod-Soul created during Project Spearhead. Kon typically inhabits a stuffed lion, but occasionally doubles as a Soul Candy pill for Ichigo Kurosaki, taking charge of Ichigo’s Human body.
