Old Xian has been spoiling the 19 Days fandom lately. Not only have we been given more official art pieces than we can handle, but Old Xian briefly mentioned that they were working on a new art book! I fell in love with Old Xian’s first art book. So, I cannot wait for the second, especially since it will have artworks of our favourite boys all grown up! That means more Tianshan artwork for me to fangirl over — cue high pitched squee!
Until that’s all done, we have more plot to go through! In the last chapter of 19 Days, Jian Yi finally confessed his feelings to Zhang and that was where it ended. The fandom lost their minds, and we had to wait a while to see what was to happen next! Will Jian Yi’s feelings be reciprocated? Is Zhang going to break Jian Yi’s heart?! Will I finally get my She Li chapter that I’ve been banging on about for the last month or so?! Let’s find out…
Plot
The chapter continues straight from where we left off. However, this comes from a different angle. Jian Yi tells Zhang that he “likes him so much he thinks he’s going to explode.” He’s shaking as he speaks while Zhang listens to him, not uttering a word. Jian Yi finally leaves the room and goes to sleep on the sofa. Obviously, he cannot sleep at which point Zhang enters the room.
Opinion
I… I’m not sure how I feel about this chapter. I guess it’s open to interpretation. In my opinion, Zhang saying ‘I know’ is his way of confessing that he acknowledges Jian Yi’s feelings. He knows what he’s going through. He knows how he feels, but does that also means he reciprocates Jian Yi’s feelings? I don’t think so.
I’m not sure how this event will affect their friendship. I mean, we all know they’ll eventually get together (Old Xian has confirmed this), but I don’t believe it’s going to happen just yet. It’s too early. What’s going to happen to them now? Are they going to carry on as if nothing happened? Or is their relationship fractured? Personally, I feel their relationship is going to be awkward, and the storyline from now on will be them repairing their friendship until Zhang sees the light of course.
WILL I EVER GET MY SHE LI CHAPTER?! I’m crossing my fingers that it’ll happen soon!! I won’t be surprised if She Li is going to play a pivotal role in Jian Yi and Zhang’s relationship. I honestly believe that She Li and Jian Yi’s relationship is going to develop into something bigger and it won’t be a pleasant ride.
