It isn’t much, but it sure is something, right?

Hot off a successful second season of Star Trek: Discovery, CBS All Access’ flagship Trek show, the streaming service saw fit to give us our first real look at Picard.

And as you can see above, it is kind of a doozy, despite not showing much of anything at all.

We still don’t know all that much about Picard. We know that Hanelle Culpepper is directing the first block of episodes. This makes her the first woman AND woman of color to direct a Star Trek pilot.

We also know novelist Michael Chabon was involved in the genesis of this whole thing and will be in the writer’s room. We also know that Jean-Luc will have a crew of sorts. One that includes The Newsroom’s Alison Pill, Penny Dreadful’s Harry Treadaway, and British newcomer Isa Briones.

But aside from all that, we are in the dark aside from that bittersweet ray of sunshine posted above. What do you think, space cadets? Are you excited about Patrick Stewart’s return? Do you want to buy that wine as badly as I do? Let us know in the comments below.
