I’m back with my second instalment of Toy Photography Thursday and today I wanted to show you this awesome Jotaro figurine! I’m a big fan of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and with the live-action version coming soon this was a must-buy for me!

Jotaro Kugo is the main protagonist from series 2 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The second series is called Stardust Crusaders and follows the 3rd arc of the manga. From 1988 to 1989, the story follows Jotaro Kujo and his friends as they journey from Tokyo to Cairo to save his mother’s life by defeating his family’s resurrected archenemy, DIO.

The figurine is part of a series of figures produced by Master Star Piece (with Master Stars Piece in turn being produced by Banpresto). The characters in the series involve male characters from Japanese franchises such as Naruto, One Piece, and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. The availability of these figures vary due to their release as prizes during raffle events and such.

I have always found that Banpresto produce amazing figurines with lots of detail and great quality, and this figurine is no exception! From the neck line, to the creases showing his abs, the intricate detail is second to none! The colours are vibrant and fun too, you can also get this figurine in a white and pink colour which looks really pretty.

He was a lot of fun to take images of as well! He’s 10″ tall so taking an image looking up proved to be difficult (you could see the studio) which was a bit of disappointment. I also couldn’t get the background to look crispy white so I had to play around with the colours in editing. The background still has some creases which I need to iron out but it’s only my second attempt at using the studio, so this was practice.

Any feedback and criticism welcome!
