Welcome one and all! As you all know, I already do a Funko Friday section but now I feel like branching out to begin a bi-weekly section I’m titling Toy Photography Thursday! Toy photography has become a new love for me and it’s something I would love to do as a career! As a photographer of ten years I think it’s time I find a niche and stick with it, and of course find a way to display by portfolio for all you wonderful people.

So what better way than begin than this? I’m going to make it bi-weekly for now as I’m not quite sure I have enough toys to make this section a regular thing, but there is only one way to find out!

So for our very first article I brought out one of my newest, if not one of the cutest figurines I own, exploding Deadpool! Isn’t he cute! My partner bought him for me for Christmas, and he was an absolute bargain £10! I love how much detail has gone into the smoke and the explosion behind him! Of course he isn’t missing his precious swords and his facial expression is just perfect!

The figurine itself is a Lootcrate official and is designed by Quantum Mechanics Inc.

Quantum Mechanix Inc. is a Los Angeles-based creative studio and developer of screen-accurate replicas, collectibles, apparel, and artwork inspired by entertainment’s most beloved shows and movies. I went on the website and couldn’t find any Deadpool related figurines, so I’m not quite sure if the price is actually £10.

“We focus on serving the most demanding customers – from dedicated fans to the industry’s most prestigious production companies and studios – with the most detailed, accurate, beautifully finished products possible.”

Taken with a Cannon 60D inside a portable studio, I’m really happy with how the images came out! I had a bit of a problem with the background being completely and utterly creased (but that’s nothing a good ole iron couldn’t handle).

I cannot wait to build my portfolio and show all my images to you! Until next time!
