Every Wednesday new comics hit the shelves of your local comic shops, so we here at Rogues Portal try to find the best books to add to our pull lists and yours. Let’s see what’s new on the Rogues Portal Pull List for January 31st. Tons of new comics come out each week, and it’s not always easy picking out the best ones. Here’s what we’re getting and what you should check out today!
Rogues’ Essentials
Mech Cadet Yu #6
- I have so much love for this boy-robot series. – Anelise
- It is like Iron Giant meets Pacific Rim, BUT it is so much more than that. It’s one of the best books out there! – Cory
- Its’ great first arch has launched this to a must read series. – Greg
Swamp Thing Winter Special #1
- A passion project involving Tom King & Jason Fabok that pays tribute to Len Wein & Bernie Wrightson? Plus, it’s Swamp Thing in a blizzard! The art that Fabok has posted on Twitter has me chomping at the bit to read this one. – Cory
- Swamp Thing in a winter (not so) wonderland?! And drawn by Canadian Jason Fabok? I’m in. Also, its going to be a nice homage to Len Wein who passed away recently. – Josh
X-Men Red #1
- Jean’s back with a new team! It’s an X-Men book, of course I’m on board. – Frank
- She’s baaaaacccccckkkkkkk! ‘Nuff said. – Greg
Anelise‘s Picks
Hawkeye #15
Clint and Kate make such a fun team!
Snotgirl #9
This is the weird, bubbly series of my dreams.
Wicked + The Divine 1923 #1
I am looking forward to what this one shot has in store!
Frank’s Picks
Dejah Thoris #1
Amy Chu has been killing it on Red Sonja, I have no doubt she’ll follow suit with my favorite Martian.
Paper Girls #20
It’s never a dull moment with BKV’s wacky time traveling pre-teens around.
Portal Bound #0
I’m always game for a new Aspen IP, hopefully this one has some legs.
Greg’s Picks
Exit Stage Left The Snagglepuss Chronicles #2
Issue 1 was a great introduction. I am curious to see how the story works out.
No. 1 With A Bullet #4
This story has been a great look at social media, over-sharing, and who gets hurt when someone is hacked and bullied online.
Rogue And Gambit #2
Loved issue 1 and cannot wait to see what Kelly Thompson has in store.
Jim’s Picks
Extremity #11
The only downside to reading Extremity is that the series will be ending soon.
Vs #1
This is a dark satire about war and celebrity culture that is worth checking out.
Josh‘s Picks
Armstrong And The Vault Of Spirits #1
Armstrong is an immortal partier and infamous drunkard. It’s time for a one-shot of his backstory via a party and some memory-inducing items!
Mark’s Picks
Jazz Maynard Volume 2 #1
The first volume was absolutely brilliant. This is a comic where you’ll leave feeling like you got your money’s worth.
Graphic Novels
Backstagers Volume 2 TP
I highly enjoyed the first volume of The Backstagers and can’t wait to read the second one! I really think these teen/adult stories that Boom! is coming out with are inspired and intersectional. I hope this volume is as great as the first one. – Hafsa
Clue TP
I loved following this series as it came out month to month and now all of it is collected here. If you are fan of humor and mystery, then check this trade out. – Greg
Get Naked GN
The title of this graphic novel is intriguing and when I found out it’s a bunch of self-reflective essays, I was ecstatic. Anthologies are amazing in general and I, especially, enjoy ones that explore our relationship with our bodies! – Foosa
Scales And Scoundrels Volume 1 Into The Dragon’s Maw TP
The art and the title is what drew me to this narrative. I really like the idea of following a bunch of scoundrels, and I really hope that scales alludes to dragons since there is one on the cover. Can’t wait to read this! – Hafsa
Secret Weapons Deluxe Edition HC
I’ve been dying for this book to come out! In hardcover no less! – Frank
That’s all for this week! Thanks for checking out this week’s Rogues Portal Pull List! We’ll be back next week with a brand new list for you to peruse. Same Bat-Time. Same Bat-Channel!
