This week we begin discussing a recent controversy over at Marvel Comics. We wonder if it was an honest mistake for Jason Aaron or a sinister way to drive interest to King Conan #3. Then we move on to Matt Reeves talking about the changes to the Gotham PD TV show that is being made for HBO Max.
For the lightning round, Jonathan spent his week revisiting some classic Batman tales in both comics and movies. Meanwhile, Greg decided to revisit the series Fables. Did any of these hold up over time? The only way to find out is to listen to the pod.
We move on to Matt Reeve’s The Batman next. We discuss the cast, the costumes, what we think is next, and if three hours was too long. It is all here for you to enjoy, but step lightly, as spoilers are ahead.
This week for comics, we ended up a little Marvel heavy, but we started with Little Monsters #1 from Jeff Lemire. Then we head over to the Marvel side with Captain Carter #1, Punisher #1,and one of the worst comics ever Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse #1.
