In a collaboration between Cyan Inc. and Limited Run Games, the revolutionary game Myst is getting a physical release on the Nintendo Switch for only $34.99 USD. This particular release will be for the 2014 realMyst: The Masterpiece Edition, the updated 3D version of the original Myst game. Besides the noticeable graphic changes and the ability to wander around in 3D instead of the original point-and-click, realMyst also includes access to the Rime World, which is a world that wasn’t included in the original Myst game. The last time this title had a console release was in 2012 on the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Unlike most Limited Run Games releases, which have limited stock and sell on a first-come-first-serve basis, the realMyst Nintendo Switch release opens for pre-orders February 28th and will stay open for four weeks until March 27th. There is no limit on how many pre-orders a person can make, just the limited time frame for orders. As of the date this article was first published, it is unclear if realMyst will ever be made available digitally on the Nintendo eShop.

Originally released in 1993, the Myst series has gone on to spawn multiple sequels, and 2019 saw a successful 2.8 million dollar Kickstarter where Cyan Worlds re-released updated PC and Mac versions of all the games in the Myst series.

You can pre-order a copy of realMyst: The Masterpiece Edition for Nintendo Switch on February 28th at 10 am ET.
