Nappa is one of the main antagonist in the Dragon Ball Z world. He is one of the elite Saiyan warriors from the Planet Vegeta and (for a very short period) is Vegeta’s partner in combat until…you know…. anyway before becoming a soldier alongside Vegeta and Raditz for Frieza, Nappa was the General of the Saiyan Army under the Frieza and was also the aid of the young Prince Vegeta.
Of course, I wouldn never expect to receive a Nappa figurine. I wouldn’t consider him a favourite character of mine at all but it’s nice to have something unexpected and different in my figurine collection.
The figurine is part of the Zokei Tenkaichi Budokai 5 collection. It’s 1 out of 6 figurines you can collect from the series, other characters include Semi-Perfect Cell, Vegeta (Super Saiyan style), Raditz, Son Goku (Super Saiyan style) and Bardock. Of course there are are other series and also a new Zokei Tenkaichi Budokai 6 series which will include Android 18, which I’m really excited about!! Some other figurines from the Zokei Tenkaichi Budokai collection also include Trunks which comes in Series 4, Chi-chi which is one of the cutest figurines I’ve seen which is in series 3 and also a Golden Frieza which is a Zokei Tenkaichi Budokai 5 special!
Now back to the matter at hand…
The box itself is bursting with energy and advertises the figurine well. It’s has the image of the figurine in the front as well as on the side of the box with description on the back, the figurine is also posed along what I assume is his best match which is Raditz, to be fair I’m looking at the back box and seeing them both together and all I can think now is ‘well now I need to get Raditz so he goes with someone’. I’m not doing that. I do not have the space for that.
The figurine comes in three parts so like any figurine you have to assemble it yourself. I found it slightly difficult getting the feet on the little platform, it was honestly quite a struggle but we got there after a good 5 minutes. Not the hardest figurine to assemble though and I’m pretty sure I’ll have worse ones than this most probably.
The figurine itself is absolutely amazing!! Hands down the best figurine I own in terms of detail. They haven’t missed out on any veins or any muscle, they’ve even included the veins underneath the gear too!! The fingernails look incredibly impressive as they look so real. You might not be able to see it in my imagery but you can see scratches in the armour from where he has fought.
Will I buy more this series? That would be a resounding yes!! I already have my eye on Trunks and Android 18 and with the new series coming out I’m sure my collection will just grow and grow and grow!!
