I have been waiting my WHOLE LIFE for a Wonder Woman movie to be made. More accurately, I have been waiting for a good Wonder Woman movie. A few attempts have been made in recent yaers (post the Lynda Carter series) but nothing has come out of them, save for the animated film with Diana voiced by Keri Russell, which was actually quite good.

Not to be TOO picky or anything but a LIVE action movie is what I’ve always wanted and F I N A L L Y after all these years, we have a few more months to wait until we get one.

Wonder Woman will be out in theaters on June 2 and stars Gal Gadot as our title heroine, along with Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, and more.

Look, I don’t want to come across like this is a dire situation, but like, IT IS. This is the first female superhero in modern times to get her own solo movie and it is MOTHER FREAKING WONDER WOMAN. It is a BIG DEAL. Other studios and publishers will follow the lead here if Wonder Woman does well and BOY HOWDY, do I ever hope it’s an amazing film.

IT HAD BETTER BE AMAZING, WARNER.

The trailers look pretty damn dope and aside from all the stupid secretary jokes (WE GET IT, WOMEN DIDN’T HAVE RIGHTS BACK THEN), I’m cautiously excited and optimistic.

Warner has released a new trailer for the film that shows us a little bit of Diana’s backstory and origin. Check it out and tell us what you think in the comments!
