Sleep Inertia Pilot (or SIP for short) is a 100 page sci-fi graphic novel by Valentin Ramon (writer/artist), Mark Bertolini (writer), and Micah Myers (letterer) that’s currently Kickstarting its publication. It’s an original tale that has a pacemaker made of sad drama at its artificial heart!
There will come a time when you look in the mirror and you see all you will ever be. But you have to accept it, because your other option? Kill yourself… or stop looking in mirrors.
In a future that is just around the corner, people have given up on living their own lives and have allowed governments and corporations to dictate their fate. Why people leave their lives in the hands of fate and the day-to-day inertia of living is still a mystery for everyone.
Sleep Inertia Pilot is the story of a 100-year-old woman who refuses to die at a time where the average lifespan ends at 70. She has been waiting for a long time to die, but demands to control the moment and manner that she dies in. If you knew you were going to die, wouldn’t you want to choose the time and place and reason it happens, and make your death worth something?
Sleep Inertia Pilot is about how everything that is around us, makes us who we are, and how the reality that surrounds us can sometimes not be what it seems to be.
