Here is my second post on Christmas themed Funko Pops! As you know, every Christmas season Funko Pop releases Christmas themed Pops, past one includes Snow Miser and Heat Miser, and recent ones include Belle and Beast in their winter garb. Here I’m happy to show you a group of Pops inspired by the film Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!

The Plot
Sam the Snowman tells us the story of a young red-nosed reindeer who, after being ousted from the reindeer games because of his glowing nose, teams up with Hermey, an elf who wants to be a dentist, and Yukon Cornelius, a prospector hoping to strike it rich. They run into the Abominable Snowman and find a whole island of misfit toys. Rudolph vows to see if he can get Santa to help the toys, and he goes back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. But Santa’s sleigh is fogged in. But when Santa looks over Rudolph, he gets a very bright idea… I’m pretty sure you know how it ends.

There are six Funko Pops to collect and they all look so adorable, especially Hermey and the Misfit Elephant. Such colourful polka dots! Let’s refresh on the adorable cast of characters.

Rudolph

We all know who Rudolph is! I’m not going to start explaining the obvious. But look at his tiny button nose and his cute little horns! He is just precious! Rudolph is our main protagonist in the film, bullied into leaving his home and finding himself and his purpose amongst the misfit toys. He is a cinnamon roll of precious!

Santa Claus

Again, we all know who this is! Santa plays a pivotal role in Rudolph’s career move, in making him top reindeer and places him in the front of his sleigh to guide him through the foggy eve. Look at this pop’s stumpy legs! How cute!

Bumble

Bumble is first seen when Donner is teaching Rudolph the ways of reindeer, but luckily the two are able to take cover. A year later, he chases after Rudolph and Hermey after being attracted by Rudolph’s nose light, but the two are able to hide. Not the cutest of the bunch, but if you’re a collector or an avid fan, he’ll be perfect for you.

Yukon Cornelius

He is an arctic prospector who meets Rudolph and Hermey while they are trying to avoid the Bumble. Again not a big fan of this little Funko Pop, but I’m sure someone out there will love him! And the detail on his moustache is pretty great!

Hermey

Hermey is the deuteragonist of the 1964 Rankin/Bass film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and it’s 2001 sequel Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and The Island Of Misfit Toys. He is an elf who, unlike his fellow elves, dislikes making toys and wishes to be a dentist instead. Such a cute little Funko Pop! I haven’t seen any of these in my local comic book store but I may have to order one or two as Christmas Decorations!

Misfit Elephant

Misfit Elephant is one of the abandoned toys on the Island of misfit toys. He is so colourful and cute! Look at those polka dots!
