*CUE CHILDHOOD EXCITEMENT*
Okay guys, we can’t let this week go by without talking about the excitement that is the new Ducktales series on Disney XD.
If you don’t know about Ducktales, let me tell you about this amazingness. Ducktales follows the adventures and misadventures of Dewey, Louie and Huey with their grandfather, Scrooge McDuck, who just so happened to be the richest duck. The show was amazing for it’s portrayal different kinds of references including mythology, literary and movie references, but for overall being a dynamo of a show.
Disney announced the reboot in February 2015 and gave us a teaser trailer in December, but we’re finally getting a good look into what to expect from the show and what did they announce first? The cast.

This cast is absolutely incredible and some of the best of the best. I don’t know how Disney got this so right, but I will thank them FOREVER of getting this perfect cast together for the reboot of my childhood.
The cast includes: Bobby Moynihan (SNL) as Louie, Ben Schwartz (JEAN-RALPHIO on Parks and Recreation) as Dewey, Danny Pudy (Community) as Huey. Kate Micucci (Sadie in Steven Universe) as Debby, Toks Olagundoye (Castle, The Neighbors) as Mrs. Beakley, Beck Bennett (SNL) as Launchpad McQuack and to round off the cast, DAVID “AMAZINGPANTS” TENNANT (Jessica Jones, Doctor Who) as Scrooge McDuck. I mean… come on guys… COME ON.
Needless to say, I am very very excited about the new Ducktales and it makes me even more excited for 2017!
