Two ladies talking about Disney and pop culture one movie at a time, joining the ranks of other great Rogues Portal podcasts at episode 21.

“When you find out who you are, you’ll find out what you need.” – Mama Odie

On the 29th episode of Babes of Wonderland, we discuss Princess and the Frog. As the first Disney film to star an African American princess, the movie was highly anticipated and the center of a lot of controversy and expectation. We’ll delve into the importance of race and representation in pop culture, and touch on the most taboo of all Disney subjects, The Song of the South.

As always we strive to bring you even more content to go along with each episode on our blog. For this episode, Ashley will be interviewing fashion designer/Project Runway contestant/Disney geek Samantha Rei and Laurel makes a Louisiana inspired Gumbo.
