Happily is a great showcase for its cast, including the standout Kerry Bishé, and it’s an excellent first time feature from BenDavid Grabinski. It falters slightly by not using its tension as well as it could in the first half and by short-changing some of the thematic concepts.
Bob Odenkirk transforms into a believable action star, his performance and the expert fight scenes uplift a standard storyline.
Boss Level feels like a throwback action film and the exact kind of film that streaming services should be releasing on a modest budget. The action set pieces are well-shot; the concept is bonkers in a good way; and, it’s absolutely a star vehicle for Frank Grillo.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a huge improvement. If you dislike the filmmaker, this probably won’t change your mind.
While they have their ups and down, ‘Debt Collectors’ and ‘Becky’ are solid replacements for theatrical releases. Both have solid stars worthy of attention.
‘The Hunt’ is a slobs-versus-snobs ’80s film taken to the present day. Its slightly tired jokes are elevated by Betty Gilpin’s impressive lead performance.

‘Freaks’ is a fun, low-key, genre-bender that shines through its well-observed moments with the central family. The Blu-ray release really makes the images pop and the special features are good enough to make it a worthwhile purchase.
