Here is another Funko Friday and this week it’s on one of my favourite characters in Dragon Ball Z: Trunks. Our lovely lilac haired sweetheart was made into a Funko Pop back in July and is one of the fans favourite in the show.

Character Background
Trunks is a human/Saiyan hybrid son of Vegeta and Bulma and also the older brother of Bulla. He appears in both Dragon Ball Z and of course the new Dragon Ball Super series. he is described as well-mannered and serious in comparison is his present counterpart who, of course, lives a very different life, thanks to Cell and Future Trunks back and forth to the past (and of course for living in a apocalyptic world where everyone is dead).Trunks comes from  an alternate timeline in which Android 17 and Android 18 murdered the Z Fighters and proceeded to create apocalyptic hell on Earth. Trunks is trained by Future Gohan as a teenager and becomes a gifted fighter, swordsman and a Super Saiyan; traits that aid him greatly in the battle against the Androids after traveling back in time in order to save his own future.  He is currently in the future, about to confront the evil entity, Goku Black alongside Goku and Vegeta.

The Funko itself has been done with such vibrant colours! His expression is one of anger and determination which I love. I do love it when Funko Pop show some form of emotion, it gives that character, some form of characteristics.  His outfit is that of his first appearance in the Dragon Ball Z franchise when he returns to the past and kills reformed Frieza with his badass sword. His jacket is very detailed with all it’s trimmings as well as his capsule Corp logo on his left hand side. His hair is a lovely shade of lilac and I do love the added touch of fringe he has. He stands absolutely perfectly on his feet however as you can see from the images his head is at a weird angle. He face is more focused on the ground rather than what’s in front of him. The paintwork is also excellent except for a slight smidgen of purple on his right hand, but you have to be properly study him to even notice.
