[PODCAST] THE COMICS AGENDA: WE’RE IN THE ENDGAME NOW

News
This week on the Comics Agenda, we start the show with sad news out of Warner Brothers/DC as the company has gone through a round of massive layoffs. At last count, rumors estimate the numbers are around 600 people, with DC Universe, DC Collectibles, and several editors from the comics side all affected.

From there, we talk about what’s going on with Warner Brothers movies as the company still tries to deal with the pandemic cutting into their release schedule. We also discuss Liam Neeson recently admitting in an interview that he assumed Taken would end up going straight to video when it was released. We then think of some movies we thought should have gone straight to video.

In Con news, we discuss NYCC going virtual and if everyone is virtual conned out.

The Darkest Timeline
Michael brings us the story of a possible dark gritty reboot of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. We discuss if we think the reboot would work, and what other comedies should get the gritty drama reboot.

Comics 
This week, we return to the woods with Something is Killing The Children #9. Is Tynion’s epic horror finally losing steam? We will discuss. We then join Claire in her further adventures in Adventureman #3. Over at Image, we travel to an alternative universe where giant woman help defeat giant men who turn into monsters in Big Girls #1. Then, it’s a military special ops turned family drama in Seven Secrets #1. We wrap up the show with Empyre #5 from Marvel Comics.
