There have been important details released concerning Pokémon Sun/Pokémon Moon!
In a brief trailer released on May 10th, Nintendo gave eager fans a launch date, a new (but unnamed) legendary mascot, and new grass, fire, and water type starter Pokémon.
The starts are Popplio, a water type seal, Litten, a disinterested looking fire type cat, and Rowlet, a grass and flying type owl. Nothing is known about the story at this time, but it will presumably revolve around the unnamed legendary Pokémon featured on the covers: the sunny lion on Sun’s case, and the crescent-shaped bat on Moon’s case.
The trailer also showed off snippets of the game’s graphics and locations. The graphics are similar to those used in X and Y. Sun and Moon, like X and Y, will be using the 3D models for all people and Pokémon both inside and outside of battle. Sun and Moon’s setting, the tropical Alola region, appears to use larger maps with a greater sense of scale than in past games with the region being shown off using more diverse and dynamic camera angles.
Pokémon Sun/Pokémon Moon will be released November 18, 2016.
