There’s good news for 90’s babies: Space Jam 2 is happening!
For months now, there have been rumours of a potential Space Jam sequel that would bring the Looney Tunes back to the basketball court. The rumours for the movie took off when James and his company SpringHill Entertainment signed a deal with Warner Bros. last summer. Just earlier today (May 2) the rumours for Space Jam 2 were confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie will be directed and produced by Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Star Trek Beyond). Lin will be joined by writer Andrew Dodge and producer Charles Ebersol. The original Space Jam starred Michael Jordan, who played for the Bulls at the time, and earned $230 million dollars worldwide.
There’s no timeline for shooting or the release, but LeBron James is officially locked down to star, but you can let loose your 90s nostalgia with the clip below. Just be prepared to (confusingly) crush on Lola Bunny all over again!
