It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…

It’s that time of year when awards season is in full swing for Hollywood and most people couldn’t be more excited. Lots of great titles have been nominated for Oscars and the betting pools on who will win what are underway.

That being said, it’s also the time of year for another kind of award show that most actors and actresses don’t want to be nominated for. The 2018 Razzie Awards (now in its 37th year) were announced earlier this month and there are some hilarious (but also bizarre) choices amongst the nominees. The bets are also on to guess who’ll take home the notorious award.

You can check out the full list below but some of my favourite moments from this year’s list include Mark Wahlberg’s double nomination for Worst Actor (Daddy’s Home 2Transformers: The Last Knight), Mother!‘s numerous nominations across the board, and basically all the shade being thrown in the Worst Screen Combo category. It’s also worth noting, I guess, that Johnny Depp was also given a double nomination for Worst Actor but I honestly would’ve just preferred that he wasn’t in anything at all in 2017. Or 2018. Or 2019…

I feel really bad for Sofia Boutella who I absolutely adore. I honestly feel as though she did her best with the worst script possible for The Mummy. I guess at least she got to have a great role alongside Charlize Theron in Atomic Blonde last year to make up for that dud.
