Naughty Dog announced today that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be released on August 22 in North America at $40 USD and $50 CAD. Our European friends will have to wait an extra day to jump into the next Uncharted adventure.
With a Crash Bandicoot mini-game featured in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, it’s not surprising that Naughty Dog has also revealed that pre-orders at participating retailers for The Lost Legacy will come with a digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy for PS4, which is out the same day! If you pre-order through the PS Store, you’ll get an Uncharted: The Lost Legacy PS4 theme designed by Truant Pixel. Though you’ll miss out on these pre-order bonuses if you picked up any of the special editions of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (Deluxe Edition, Explorer’s Pack, or the Triple Pack), but you’ll still get a digital download of The Lost Legacy.
Naughty Dog has lauded The Lost Legacy as a “true Uncharted game—complete with its own deep narrative with complex character development, all-new destinations, refined gameplay, and blockbuster cinematic moments.” I am beyond thrilled to have a game that follows fan-favourite Chloe Frazer as she partners up with the tactical badass Nadine Ross in a hunt for the long lost Tusk of Genesha, deep within India’s Western Ghats mountains. Naughty Dog just knows how to captivate with amazing story worlds and getting more backstory on two of the franchise’s fiercest female characters is something I’m not going to miss!
