Adventure Time’s favourite gender-bent duo is back with an all new caper in Card Wars! Cake can’t be beat at Card Wars and Fionna… is really tired of getting beaten!
At its core, I Hate Fairyland seems to be a rebellion against much of writer/artist Skotti Young’s own career. Due to his cutesy style, Young has often been asked to do comics based on it, such Marvel’s Wizard of Oz graphic novels and, as his bio at the end puts it, “enough Little Marvel variant covers to build a small ranch style home out of them”.
I’m pretty pessimistic when it comes to expanded universes of the things I love. I never go in expecting too much because I don’t want to be let down.
It is the debate that many of us have taken part of at some point in our life. What would you do if you had superpowers? Would you use them for good or evil? Would you relish the spotlight and use it to make money? Would you give back to the community that doesn’t understand you?
As far back as lunchtime I always wanted to be a gangster. What a great way to start out a comic book!

Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur is exactly what it sounds like while also being so much more than what it sounds like! It’s a definite good thing. The comic follows a little girl obsessed with science and a red dinosaur with flaming eyes. What more does a comic need?
