From its cover and premise, Stargazer seems like yet another fun but ultimately run-of-the-mill ’80s nostalgia trip. However, the execution keeps the story fresh and engaging with tight pacing, relatable characters, and great artwork.
I really wanted to love Battlecats. I really did. The plot spun its wheels for too long, and the characters didn’t justify any emotional investment.
It is frustrating reading a book like Midnight Task Force #1. The potential is there, but London decided to play it safe rather than push the envelope.
