The Man of Steel #1 is a well-executed, grounded action piece in its own right, but I have a hunch it’is going to end up being more about Rogol Zaar.
The Terrifics #1 has a ton of potential but not much heart to the story so far as you have four characters who have little history brought together.
I have to say that the Superman books of the DC Rebirth era have been a return to form for my favorite character in comics. You might have to do a little legwork to get the first three chapters, but Superman #38 takes the ball and runs with it to some fun places.
