forceawakens-bluray-comboWe’re one week away from the DVD/Blu-ray release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and I for one could not be more excited.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the first time I ever felt like I was REALLY a part of that universe and understood why everyone loved it so much. I grew up enjoying the Star Wars original films but I was never a rabid fan of them (unlike my podcast co-host, Mara Wood who learned to play the cello for Star Wars). I knew why they were important to people and important to film and sci-fi but I didn’t feel that epic connection.

When I saw The Force Awakens in the theatre, I was overwhelmed by this feeling where I immediately understood ALL of it. ALL the hype, ALL the love, ALL the everything about EVERYTHING. I saw it in theaters a couple of times, taking in the soundtrack, story and Daisy Ridley as Rey and admiring all the things to do with it.

Ok, ok, ok. I’m rambling. The DVD and Blu-ray of Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits stores on April 5, 2016. The special features for the Blu-ray include:
