It’s odd to believe that so many movies came out this year. Some made us laugh, cry, feel utterly disappointed, but we’re focusing on the ones that we loved this year. The best of the best in movies over last year that made us feel the feelings that we love to feel so well. Best Actor – Cate Blanchett, “Thor Ragnarok.” She was amazing, and I love her.
Best Drama – “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” – haven’t seen it yet obviously but it’ll probably be true.
Best Comedy – “The Big Sick.” Funny, touching and everything you want in a rom-com.
Best Action – “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2”.
Best Romance – “The Big Sick.” Yes again.
Best Sci-Fi – “GotG vol 2”
Best Cinematography – “Blade Runner 2049”. I didn’t see it, but it looked pretty.
Best Costume Design – “Thor Ragnarok.” I mean, c’mon.
Best Superhero Film – Didn’t see any – kidding, duh. “Wonder Woman” beats the Marvelites this time.
Best Adaptation (from comic, book, etc.) – “Wonder Woman” again because why not.
Best Soundtrack – Tie between “GotG” Awesome Mix vol 2 and the score to “Wonder Woman.”
Cutest Couple / Best Chemistry – Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff (Drax and Mantis) – “GotG vol 2”
Biggest Star of 2017 – Baby Groot. Fight me.
Movie of the YEAR – “Wonder Woman”
