It’s been a good couple of years for the Star Wars franchise. 2015 marked the year that we would be getting a new Star Wars film (official series as well as spin-offs) for every year for the foreseeable future.

The world may be going to shit but at least we have world’s in a galaxy far, far away.

Rogue One was the 2016 contribution to the Star Wars franchise and it was the first of the spin-offs that are coming. The film takes place before a New Hope as the rebellion is just getting started.

The official synopsis for the film is this: In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

It’s just been announced that Rogue One will be arriving on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD VERY SOON on March 24. Disney has also announced what special features will be included with the release, although funnily enough, the release doesn’t include any deleted scenes. The deleted scenes were obviously something that a lot of people were curious about since some of the most iconic moments from the trailer were left out of the final film. Apparently those scenes were just moments that they were recording for the heck of it to try to loosen up the actors in their roles and such, but I smell a potential director’s cut down the line. CURSES!!!!
