I’ve wanted to subcribe to a new subscription box for a while now. I’ve wanted to subscribe to one that had either anime-based or based-on figurines and other nerdy geeky pieces. I wanted to subscribe to a box where I would be a 110% happy with whatever I got because sometimes a subscription box will become repetitive and well, will become slightly boring. After searching and asking around I came to the conclusion that the best subscription box for me would the very popular Pop in a Box. As a massive collector of Funko Pops this one was a no-brainer!
What is Pop in a Box?
Pop in a Box is a monthly subscription box that allows you to grow your Funko Pop collection by providing you with Funko Pops that you most certainly do not have in your collection. In order for this to happen you need to create an account. On your profile you will have categories such as ‘manage collection’ and ‘wishlist’ along with many other, but these two I found to be the most helpful.
In ‘manage your collection’ you add the Funko’s you already have. In order to do this you have to find the Funko’s you already have by searching for them in their sub-categories (this makes finding Funko Pops you have and the ones you want so much easier). Once you find your Funko you click the ‘I have this’ button and adds the Funko to your collection page and shows them not to give you that particular Funko.
Under ‘wishlist’ you add Funko’s that you do want. You do this by going through each category and click the ‘thumbs up’ button. Once you do this it gets added to your wishlist and shows them to keep an eye out for that particular Funko Pop. They use an online tracker where it shows your current collection and which makes them aware of which ones to send you and which ones not to (if you really do not want a certain pop, press the ‘thumbs down’ button, they will never send you the one you do not want).
I went for the two Funko Pop subscription plan which means I get two Funko Pops a month for £16.88 a month + postage and packaging. It’s the works out the same amount if I buy them in a shop. The most you can subscribe for 12 pops which works out £94.99 a month + postage and packaging.
And the two I got for September are…
YELLOW POWER RANGER AND BLACK POWER RANGER!!
Of course I really wanted these and I’m so happy with their design. I love the vibrant colour of the yellow Power Ranger and both colours compliment each other well. Their helmets are so cool. The Yellow Power Ranger helmet is a sabertooth tiger while the Black Power Ranger represents a matadon. The paintwork is fine and they stand up really well. I had so much fun taking photos on location which I’m planning on doing more of!
I cannot wait for my October subscription to come!
