EPISODE NOTES
News
We start by following up on a couple of stories last week, as the TSA has un-banned the collectible Coke bottles from Galaxy’s Edge, and the Joker has gotten rave reviews from international film festivals.
In newer news, we talk about the announcement of several actors joining the upcoming Suicide Squad sequel. Although the actors have been announced, it has not been said what their roles will be. What does this mean for their part in the movie? We have theories.
With Netflix releasing a few shows on a weekly basis instead of dropping the whole series at once, we talk about which format we prefer and why.
Need A Family?
Michael brings a story about a new service in Japan that allows you to hire actors to pose as various significant others. The kicker is that even the child may not know that their father figure in not truly their dad. Controversial? To say the least. But would any of us use the service?
Comics
This week we have a full slate as we talk webcomic-turned-series Battlepug #1. Then, it’s urban legend-turned-murder mystery in Something is Killing the Children. Harley and Poison Ivy get pulled into all the Year of the Villain fun in Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy #1. A quick trip through time and space has us checking out Legion of Super-Heroes Millennium #1 and Triage #1, before we head to Canada for Alpha Flight True North #1.
Tell us what you thought of the show and reach out with your opinions of any of the news or books we talked about in the episode.
