Marvel is known for never officially announcing the cancellation of their on-going titles. For that reason it forces readers and fans of a series to check for changes in solicitations when they come out and then seek out answers through various forms of social media and reading of the tea leaves to find out if their favorite title has indeed been cancelled, or just put on hiatus for the next Marvel event.

The May 2017 Solicits had several titles, that have been considered under performing by Marvel standards, go missing. While many people are assuming that many of those books have gotten the ax the only one that has been confirmed is Patsy Walker, A.K.A Hellcat.

The confirmation of the cancellation came in a tweet from the books writer Kate Leth,

In followup tweets, Leth states that although they felt the cancellation was coming, Marvel did allow them enough time to wrap up the story in a way that was satisfactory for the creative team.

While not one of the biggest selling books, Patsy Walker, A.K.A Hellcat had a very loyal fan base with a book that was focused on fun and original stories while being able to avoid the negativity of some of the recent cross over events.

It is still unknown what the fate of the other books not listed on the May solicits is, but what is known is that Patsy Walker, A.K.A Hellcat will be missed by its readers.
