WarnerMedia has just announced the two stars of their upcoming exclusive TV series, Station Eleven (2020) according to Deadline. Mackenzie Davis and Himesh Patel have been chosen as the leads for the show based on the acclaimed post-apocalyptic novel of the same name by Canadian author Emily St. John Mandel. The show is slated as part of the launch line-up for their new streaming service, HBO Max.

Davis is set to play Kirsten, a survivor of the epidemic that wiped out most of humanity and member of a traveling band of theater performers and entertainers, trying to hold on to the art of the civilization past.

Patel had a decade-long run on EastEnders (2007-2016) as Tamwar Masood and has a role in the upcoming TV mini-series The Luminaries (2019). His most recent claim to fame is playing Jack Malik in the Beatles-themed movie Yesterday (2019). Patel will play Jeevan, who lives through the Georgia Flu at its start and unwittingly becomes a leader of a group of people trying to survive the growing emergency.
