E3 2017

While the President of Square-Enix has stated that Kingdom Hearts 3 could possibly be another 3 years away from release, that didn’t stop them from teasing fans during last nights Kingdom Hearts Orchestra event in Los Angeles. It is unknown weather or not the game will make a showing at E3 2017, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see this exact trailer played during Sony’s Press Conference on Monday evening. While there may be Playstation branding during the beginning of the video, an Xbox One logo is included in the closing title card. It is unknown if Kingdom Hearts 3 will appear on PC.

The video shows more gameplay from the Olympus level inspired by the 1997 animated movie Hercules, and concludes with a title card telling fans to expect another video to drop at the Disney branded D23 Convention next month. The gameplay remains largely unchanged from the last main title in the series, which came out in 2005. Hopefully the final product will bring more to the table than an increased enemy count and prettier graphics.

The D23 video will show footage of a new stage, and hopefully some new abilities for Sora, Donald and Goofy. D23 takes play July 13th through 16th in Anaheim.
