Here’s a bit of technology news you might have missed from last month: Netflix (very quietly and without much pomp) started streaming in high-dynamic range. If you have an HDR TV you can now expect more colours and a wider range between the black and white.
“As of mid-March, we have been providing both Dolby Vision and HDR10 streams to supported TVs, giving Netflix members an even more visually stunning experience,” Netflix stated earlier this week. “Marco Polo season 1 is available now, with more titles–including Marvel’s Daredevil–coming soon.”
It’s not a huge deal yet, since most are likely lacking a newer HDR supporting television and it’s only a single series of HDR content, but Netflix has to start somewhere, right?
