Naruto Shippuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto. The story revolves around Uzumaki Naruto, who is now slightly older and just slightly more mature as he engages in a quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years, Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoba, where he sets about putting his ambitions to work, even though he knows it will not be easy, as he encounters more dangerous enemies, who form the Shinobi Organisation Akatsuki.
I received a Naruto Shippuden mystery mini for Valentine’s Day based on ‘Naruto the Movie’. Their from Petit Chara land and can be found on tonnes of Japanese figurine websites. It was bought for me via the Forbidden Planet store in Cardiff. I’ve tried to search for a link for this particular mystery mini box but cannot seem to find it anywhere! I guess they’ve stopped making this particular one but there are tonnes of other boxes by Petit Chara Land, including a Gintama mystery mini box.
The boxes cost around £22-£25(!), which is absolutely extortionate (and that doesn’t even count the shipping costs!!). However they are adorable and seem to be rare to find in the UK. I’m going to warn you that the website I’m linking at the end of this article will sometimes not sell certain items overseas, but they do notify you immediately if that’s the case.
There were six to collect in this range, they were:
Naruto (on top of the nine tail fox)
Menma
Naruko
Naruto (the last version)
Naruto (being Naruto)
Naruto Hokage
What I wanted
They all looked extremely cute but the Naruko figurine took my fancy straight away, all because she was standing on a pink heart and it was Valentine’s Day, so I was feeling mushy enough as it was.
What I got
I got…NARUKO!!! Yay!!
She is just precious!! I love her hair and her adorable little devil horns!! Her lingerie is so strange but it doesn’t matter because she is SO DAMN CUTE! There are 3 hearts altogether on the figurine and the name Naruko is written on the side. It may not look like it but it can also stand very well. Always a plus when it comes to figurines!
Would I buy another one?
If they were ever on sale then yes I would. I think £24 may be slightly expensive for a 55mm figurine. The Gintama ones look adorable though so I may treat myself to one.
