I reeaaaaalllllly like the Alien franchise. It might be one of the first horror franchises I ever remember watching. The first time I ever saw an Alien movie, I can remember exactly where I was: hiding under covers trying not to be terrified. HA HA HA… ok, but really I do actually remember. It made a lasting impression on me even as a kid that stuck with me until I could watch it as an adult and fully appreciate it.

(for the record, it was totally at my friend Ariel’s house… her and her brother were allowed to watch horror movies and I most definitely was not so I happened to be there as they were watching Alien)

I was stoked for Prometheus, which ultimately let me down, BUT that hasn’t turned me off of the franchise at all. I’m still curious and excited about all of the possibilities within the world that Ridley Scott has built up.

RAMBLING DONE. You’re probably aware that we’ll be getting another Alien movie soon… specifically, Alien: Covenant and hot damn, it looks crazy good. The official synopsis for the film is this: Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with Alien: Covenant, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Fox has released a four minute prologue for the film called The Last Supper and it looks VERY COOL and makes me a million times more excited about what’s to come (aka some successful marketing).

Alien: Covenant opens in theaters on May 19. Watch The Last Supper below:
