La La Land has been everyone’s musical darling for the past couple of months and for good reason. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling have ALL of the delightful chemistry that’s needed to pull of a modern musical of this caliber.

I know we haven’t gotten a ton of great musicals in the last little while, it’s definitely a dying genre of film, but The Artist was brilliant and I’m happy that there’s a film that follows that captured that same sort of heart… and funnily enough, kind of has a similar (ish) story to it.

While no formal announcement has been (they’ll be waiting until the Oscar winners come in and they can put how many bajillion awards they won on the cover…), it looks like the movie is up for pre-order and a tentative release date has been posted.

The synopsis, if you’ve somehow missed everything about this film, is this: An ambitious jazz pianist (Ryan Gosling) and an aspiring actress (Emma Stone) fall in love while pursuing their dreams of stardom.

La La Land will be available on Blu-ray May 9, 2017. Pre-order it here.
