It’s Funko Friday yet again! I do apologise for the lack of news on what’s new in Funko Land. There are so many new Funko Pops in Funko Land that I cannot put them all in one article, so I’ve decided for this post I’ll choose my favourites and then start posting more regularly!
Since our last update, Funko has added to their Disney Collection as well as their Rick and Morty collection. I haven’t been keeping up to date with the blog recently so I can’t wait to see what else they have in store!!
Here are some of my favourite new Funko Pops coming to a store near you soon!
The Emperor’s New Groove Pops
I love The Emperor’s New Groove!! I feel like it’s such an underrated Disney film, even though it has its own sequel. Yzma is one of my absolute favourite Disney villains. There are five Funko Pops to collect altogether: they include Kuzco, Pacha, Kronk and of course, Yzma. You can also get a glow-in-the-dark Yzma!
Looney Tunes Pops
I can now have my tiny Tweety Funko Pop!! I used to watch Looney Tunes religiously as a child; however, I remember only liking Bugs Bunny sketches. Crossing my fingers that they will eventually bring out a Lola Bunny Funko Pop!! There are seven Funko Pops to collect altogether: they include Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny in Opera Attire, Sylvester and Tweety, Elmer Fudd, Taz, and a flocked version of Bugs Bunny.
Sonic the Hegdehog Pops
I used to sneakily play the Sonic the Hedgehog during my IT class in secondary school (I know, rebel rebel over here). Anyone else here excited for the upcoming movie!? I’ve seen the teaser poster and it looks amazing!! There are six Funko Pops to collect altogether: they include Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic holding a green emerald, or a gold ring. You can also collect him in yellow form. Additionally, you can collect Shadow and Dr Eggman.
Aladdin Pops
Aladdin is being finally made into a proper Funko Pops series!! Cue a fangirl squeal from me!! They’ve created a Jasmine Funko in her red outfit and I’m definitely adding her to my collection! I love her outfit!! There are nine funko pops to collect altogether, including Aladdin, Jasmine, Rajah, Abu, and Red Jafar, as well as others.
Dragon Ball Super Pops
We all know that I’m a big big fan of Dragon Ball Z and of course I love the new series, Dragon Ball Super. Rose Goku is my aesthetic. There are seven of these Funko Pops to collect altogether: they include Whis, Zamasu, Future Trunks, Black Goku, Gotenks, and Hit.
Sailor Moon Series 2 Pops
By the power of the moon, we’ve been blessed with Sailor Moon Series 2 Pops!! My personal favourite has to be Queen Beryl; she looks soo soo sooooo cool!! Hopefully they’ll bring out a Black Lady Pop soon. Other characters you can collect include Chibi Moon (she’s soo pink and cute I might just have to buy her!!), Sailor Saturn, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Neptune (who I believe will complement Chibi Moon perfectly).
Yuri!!! On Ice Pops
When I found out they were making Funko Pops for Yuri!!! On Ice I lost my complete shit!! I love Yuri on Ice and I will definitely be adding my favourite anime boys to my ever growing Funko collection. Fingers crossed they will bring out an Otabek Funko Pop; he is my absolute favourite!! Currently you can collect Yuri, Victor, Yurio (definitely getting him!!), and Young Victor. If they bring Victor in his skating outfit, then I’ll definitely get him too!!
DC Bombshells Wave 2 Pops
I already own the Harley Quinn pop from the DC Bombshells Wave 1 collection and I’m definitely going to add to it now!! I love Poison Ivy’s Funko Pop, she looks amazing!! I also love the fact they’re bringing some characters out in sepia tone. I especially like the Catwoman Funko Pop. There are ten of these Funko Pops to collect altogether: they include Poison Ivy, Batwoman, Hawkgirl, Catwoman, and Supergirl. Hawkgirl and Supergirl also come in sepia tone.
Rick and Morty Series 3 Pops
Rick and Morty‘s popularity has hit the roof and of course Funko is creating so so soo many different characters to keep up with the demand for merchandise. In this wave you can collect Scary Terry, Summer, Beth, Jerry, and Lawyer Morty. They also have a Pickle Rick Funko Pop which I cannot wait to get my hands on!!
Mad Max Fury Road Pops
Mad Max is one of my favourite feminist films and to add Furiosa to my badass gals Funko collection would be perfect!! There are 13 to collect altogether and they include Furiosa, Max, War Boy Nux, The Valkyrie, Coma Doof the blind guitarist, Lord of the Citadel Immortan Joe, and his wife Capable.
