Heavens to Murgatroyd! DC Comics have been on a role with their reimagined Hanna-Barbera works! The first batch of amazing comics have been Future Quest, The Flintstones, Scooby Apocalypse, and Wacky Raceland. They’ve gotten such a good reception that DC Comics wanted more!

March Annuals (3/29) will release a couple of 8-page previews for their new line of Hanna-Barbera reimagined comics. The lineup of the new comics are amazing and will include: The Jetsons by Jimmy Palmiotti (W) and Amanda Conner (A), Top Cat by Dan DiDio (W) and Phil Winslade (A) and Ruff and Reddy by writer/artist Howard Chaykin. However, the top of everyone’s list seems to be the new highly anticipated Snagglepuss by Mark Russell (W) and Howard Porter (A)!

First Looks: Snagglepuss

Mark Russell has reimagined Snagglepuss as “a Southern gothic playwright working with an ensemble cast of cultural figures, exploring an intensely creative time in the New York City theater scene of the 1950s.”

In the March Annual, it’s Snagglepuss vs. The House Committee about Un-American Activites. Listen, I have no idea what that means, but I can’t wait until March comes around to find out what it actually means.

I’m super excited to see the new string of Hanna-Barbera comics hit the stores! One of my favorites have been Wacky Raceland and Scooby Apocalypse, so seeing titles like Top Cat, The Jetsons and Snagglepuss getting their own titles makes my heart happy. They’re not characters that you think about everyday, but they’re characters that a lot of people, including me, have grown up with. It’s great to have that back into our lives.
