Thursday rolls around every week and you hop onto the Nintendo shop only to find twenty brand new games on there. Now how on earth is anyone suppose to be able to go through and  tell what’s good and what’s worth skipping? Well look no further, as we’ll be diving into the eShop each and every week to pick out the games you might want to check out.

 

Flipping Death

Flipping Death follows Penny who recently died and has now been mistaken for Death’s Temp. This modern day adventure game has you jumping between the world of the dead and that of the living. Your goal is to help the souls of those who have already died by possessing people in the world of the living.

Publisher Motion Twin

If you’re looking for gorgeous pixel art mixed with fast paced Roguelite Action, this is the game for you, mixing games like Castlevania, Dark Souls, and Metroid into one package. Levels are randomly generated and you’ll notice that they’re different every time you die. The goal is to refine your skill and slowly build your inventory to help you reach the end of the game one day.

 

Overcooked! 2

Overcooked! 2 is a wild and crazy party game known for its chaotic cooking and the ability to cause drama between family and friends when you don’t clean dishes fast enough. Overcooked! 2 builds on a lot of what the first game had, and, now that the team has a publisher, we’re seeing online multiplayer. Having your kitchen separated and being carried by two hot air balloons will have you using the new game mechanic of throwing uncooked food from one area to another. This is surely set to give people hours of fun and frustration as they play through the campaign along with loved ones on the sofa or across the globe.

 

Minit

Minit is a black and white adventure game that you make progress in 60 seconds at a time. Each 60-minute interval, you pick up a cursed sword and try to do as much work as you can in the allotted time. It’s quite the fun little game and it’s one of those titles that you can pick up and play in short chunks.

 

Okami HD

Release Date 8.09

Price $19.99

Publisher Capcom

Okami was originally released on the Playstation 2 in 2006, and now, twelve years later, it has made its way to the Nintendo Switch with an HD port of the game. When in handheld mode, the game makes use of the touch screen. Otherwise, you’ll just be using the analog sticks to draw your attacks. If 3D Legend of Zelda games are your thing, this game should be right up your alley.
