Twitter is a place where collective experiences can still happen and I love that about it. Early in the morning on Thursday we were treated with the trailer for the new Star Wars movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and my feed instantly became filled with humorous, thoughtful, and fun reactions. Rogue One stars Felicity Jones as a criminal-turned Rebel Alliance member named Jyn Erso tasked with a mission to track down the plans for the original Death Star. The trailer is fierce, lean, and mean. It feels very different from the cosmic space opera of past Star Wars films and last year’s The Force Awakens. Here are some of my favorite chatter regarding the trailer from all across the Twitterverse by critics, comedians, actors, filmmakers, and more.

#RogueOne passes the Bechdel test in the first 30 seconds of its first trailer. Way to go #StarWars.

The Rogue One trailer is amazing but what's with Mark Hamill wanting to murder the world in the end credits? pic.twitter.com/JOwU7aP4NB
