To celebrate the month of Halloween my Funko Friday’s will be dedicated to ghoulish/Horror/ Horror themed Funko’s. Rocky Horror is one of the most well known musical horrors around and it’s the film that introduced us to one of the most iconic character in musicals: Dr Frank N’ Furter. I don’t think anyone I know would disagree that ‘Sweet transvestite’ is a catchy tune.

Rocky Horror is a British Horror Musical directed and written by Jim Sharman and co-written by Richard O’Brien who also wrote the music (it was a stage production waay before it became a film). The musical is described as a parody tribute to Sci-fi and B-Movies of the 1930’s to the 1970’s. Even though it wasn’t as popular when it came out it eventually became a cult classic. It’s still performed in theatre’s around the world where many audience members will dress up as the characters. Back in the day it became a ‘midnight movie’. The film many legendary actors including Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and of course, Tim Curry.

Frank N’ Furter
Smooth, charismatic and a self-proclaimed ‘Sweet Transvestite of Transylvania’ Frank is one seductive character (he seduces both Brad and Janet in the film). He’s portrayed on the screen by the amazing Tim Curry who has played many villains in his time including The Lord of Darkness, Pennywise the Dancing Clown, Professor Calamitous and Hexxus.

The Pop
I love how much attitude my pop has!! The fact that his face is cocking one eyebrow gives him that cool attitude he exudes in the film. Also his head can rotate 360 so you can really play around with his posing. The paintwork on my particular Frank N’ Furter isn’t up to it’s usual Funko Pop standard. The black of his corset has smudged and out of line. There is also black paint all over his white pearls too which is slightly annoying. His eyeshadow and red lips look amazing and his half smirk completes the look!
